I expected to read sit back and laugh the whole way through. It did NOT disappoint, Rick once again shows his comedic side with such flare and finesse, I tip my hat his way.What I did not expect was the side story which in the end was the whole story wrapped up inside all the wonderful jokes. The love and complete adoration for The- DOG, simply shunned all the way through. I admit I got teary eyed as I read about road trips, long walks, bird disasters, even chicken tug of wars!
Every dog lover, joke teller, and everyone in between should read this awesome book. You will laugh, be amazed and thoroughly entertained!

I found this to be a cute and at times funny quick read. Rick has a wonderful sense of humor that shows in his writing. The Dog is his very best friend and his daily companion who keeps life interesting. The Dog’s Best Goober will keep you entertained, while leaving you with many smiles and a few laughs between these pages. Rick shows his love of The Dog through the pages with his outstanding sense of humor. After reading this there is no doubt that The Dog is his beloved friend, best friend and his companion that has an outstanding sense of humor.
Would have gotten 5 stars if it would have a had more stories about The Dog.
Needs a physical copy. So I can ship it to someone who is nicknamed Goobers.
Simple, silly jokes and puns galore made even funnier since they are told to and by The Dog. How could this book not make you laugh?
I really enjoy reading Rick Johnson's books....I always know I am going to have a good time and this book did not disappoint. If you have friended Rick ..you know all about The Dog's awesome sarcastic and witty one liners....this book has a bellyful of them along with some great stories about him and The Dog. So if you want some laughter in your life I highly recommend you take the time to read this very funny book. Great Job Rick!
I've been following the author and "The Dog" for awhile on Facebook, and finally had to buy the book to learn more. Very enjoyable read...lighthearted, and sentimental for anyone who has ever been owned by a good dog. Great read.
