This is one book that I wish I had while preparing for the CFA exams. The book covers everything that you need to know about the program – starting from how the certification can help you advance your career to how to network for that elusive first job in investment management. In my opinion this book goes above and beyond the CFA and assists in building the foundations of a great career. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants to build an investment management career but isn’t quite sure of how to go about it.
This is a very helpful guide book that answers pretty much any question you might have about the CFA exam process. Having been through it all, I can't think of anything of significance that hasn't been covered. It is well-researched and full of useful insights. It's also a very quick and pleasant (even fun) read, which is quite an accomplishment considering the subject matter.
As far as books on this topic go, it is difficult to imagine anything better. The chapter on what the actual exam day experience is like could maybe use a bit more detail, but a) there is more said about it here than most other places, and b) the authors run an entire website devoted to discussion of precisely such details. This isn't reason enough to hold back a fifth star.
